I’m so excited to share Nadiya & Joe’s wedding portraits! It has been such a pleasure getting to know these two during their wedding planning process, they both have such kind hearts, they are absolutely perfect for each other! Nadiya is originally from Ukraine, came over to the United States as a high school foreign exchange student, she decided to stay, went to collage and met the man of her dreams! As I’ve gotten to know them during their wedding planning process over the past year she can be very reserved on the outside and has this tender smile that just lights up a room. Although Nadiya’s family from Ukraine was not able to be here, they were surrounded by love and there was a special surprise for her during their reception. Just before the speeches were about to begin a beautiful song was played. Her father in Ukraine had recorded himself playing a guitar and singing to his daughter on her wedding day. Her eyes lit up as she recognized his voice immediately and the tears came streaming down. As his song came to an end she so gracefully wiped her tears and smiled at her husband as the maid of honors speech began. What a beautiful moment it was, one I will surely never forget! I learned a bit more about Joe during the reception as well, his brother had quite a best man speech prepared and gifted Joe an autographed Vikings football helmet! SKOL Vikings! Nadiya is so close with her host family and Joe’s family is also some of the kindest people, it truly was a day filled with love, joy and celebration! Congratulations Nadiya & Joe, thank you for sharing your memories with me!
